The Sports Union is delighted to announce one of the biggest events in its calendar, the Sports Union Ceilidh, taking place on Wednesday 14 October at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.
Join 400+ students, staff, coaches, and friends of the Watt family for an unforgettable evening at Scotland's national stadium. Guests will enjoy exclusive pitch-side access, a traditional Scottish meal, and live entertainment from the fantastic Rock and Reel Ceilidh Band, who will guide everyone through an evening of ceilidh dancing.
Of course, no Sports Union Ceilidh would be complete without the famous Sports Union Dance-Off, where all 34 sports clubs come together to battle it out on the dancefloor.
Never been to a ceilidh before?
The Heriot-Watt University Dance Club will be running a series of free Learn to Ceilidh classes in the lead-up to the event, giving everyone the chance to learn the basics, meet new people, and build their confidence before the big night. Whether you're a complete beginner or just looking to brush up on your moves, these sessions are the perfect way to get ceilidh-ready.
This event is open to all Heriot-Watt students.
